About Me

Samira Ramadan Hargraves has opened a new Pilates Studio in St. Louis Park, "Pilates by Samira".  Her passion for Pilates began when she was a Fitness Director (1997-2009- 12 years) and realized that if the core muscles were improved every other part of the body performed better.  Working the skeletal muscles underneath many of the "visable" muscles improved posture, corrected imbalances and eliminated back pain.  When she experienced this for herself she became interested in using the specific equipment (such as the Reformer) to more quickly and effectively feel the results. 
Samira has also been a certified Personal Trainer since 1998 and has experienced many diversified clients over the years.  She has taught fitness classes and in addition, holds numerous certifications related to yoga, kickboxing, BodyPump and others.  She has certified Individuals to become Pilates Instructors and Group Exercise Instructors.

Samira believes that Joseph Pilates was a genius ahead of his time and that the practice of Pilates will continue to gain in popularity.  Aging Americans (that is all of us!) are seeing more injuries sooner in life and we are striving to be the best we can be in our physical and personal goals.  Pilates practice plays a critical role in facilitating strong health and a sound mind/body.
